Normandy Academy is a 12 day high school and college study abroad travel program that challenges students to learn from the choices made before and during the historic D-Day landings in June, 1944.
Starting in New Orleans at The National WWII Museum, students tour the Museum's immersive exhibits and get a behind-the-scenes view of the weapons, gear, and materials used in Normandy. In New Orleans, students begin group discussions on course readings and learn about the difficult 'decision to go' the allies faced.
Following the New Orleans experience, continue to Normandy for the most immersive and in-depth tour designed for students. Visit private chateaus used as Nazi headquarters; walk on all five landing beaches, and visit museums and battlefields across the Normandy region.
